5.  1900 Census Index/Images (online at Genealogy.com):  can't find Elizabeth/Lizzie, at least not in Illinois, Michigan, or California.  I did find Lizzie's daughter, Maud (HOPKINS) CLARK, living with her husband in San Francisco, and Lizzie's son, Sherwood HOPKINS, living in Madera County, but Lizzie wasn't with either of them.

She d. at Burlingame, California, 21 August 1927. A merchant, financial broker, and in later years a capitalist.  He resided in Chicago, San Francisco, and St. Clair, Michigan. A Republican. Children: MAUD FRANCES,10 b. 21 August 1868, at Chicago; m. at St. Clair, Michigan, 10 October 1892, Warren Dearborn Clark, b. at East Pittston, Maine, 16 December 1850, son of Lorenzo Samuel Clark, b. 6 August 1818, and Sarah Swain Dearbon, b. 5 December 1824, he d. at San Francisco, 9 May 1930. Mr. Clark was a respected and substantial citizen of San Francisco, where for many years he was prominent in shipping circles.  An Episcopalian and a Repbulican. Children surname Clark:   I. WILLIAM DEARBORN, b. 24 November 1893; m. at New York 5 August 1920, Barbara Hall.  Served in the World War.  Of San Francisco.  II.  GERTRUDE, b. 7 February 1899; m. (1) 9 October 1920, Kenneth Goad McIntosh, son of Charles Kenneth and Aileen (Goad) McIntosh.  He d. at Montrery, California, 23 Jun 1928.  She m. (2) at Santa Barbara, California, 2 August 1930, John Stanley Armour, who d. 20 September 1930. III.  WARREN HOPKINS, b. 31 July 1900; m. 26 April 1927, Dorothea Williamson; d. at Hillsborough, California, 5 November 1930.  He was a graduate of Williams College.
