Given their ages, one would suspect this was a second marriage for both of them, in which case, we would expect earlier children to show up in the 1850 census, but they do not.  Also, we would have expected Obadiah to have shown up as head-of-household in earlier censuses, but he does not.  So this does appear to be a first marriage for both of them.
