These are all the FRUIT marriages on the CD, other than the marriages of the children of James Samuel FRUIT in Christian Co., KY.  Our subject must have had at least one son in addition to James who stayed on in Randolph Co., and these are marriages of his descendants.

1800 Fruit, John NC Randolph Co. p. 313 00020-2310110
These data should read:
23101-00020-10
which indicate:

2 males 9 or under 1790-1800
3 males 10-15 1784-1790

Neither of the females is old enough to be Sybil, and the youngest children are too young to be hers.  This household is a mixture of several families of possibly three generations.  He is the only FRUIT in the county (son James Samuel is in KY).

5.  Census Index:  U.S. Selected Counties, 1810 (Broderbund CD-313):  not found.  (There are two John FRUITs in PA, but almost certainly neither of these would be our subject.)

6.  Census Index:  U.S. Selected Counties, 1830 (Broderbund CD-315):
1830 Fruit, John NC Randolph Co. p. 57
Son?  Grandson?  Great-grandson?
