Living next door to Jonas's father, Jonas ELY, Sr., and four doors down from Jesse HILL (1814- ), then Thomas HILL (1805- ), William HILL (1798- ), and Corbely HILL (1813- ), the children of Samuel & Elizabeth (CATHERS) HILL, whose daughter Elizabeth is too old to be our subject.  Of their sons, only William HILL is old enough and was married soon enough to be our subject's father (Thomas didn't marry until 1827).
