Widow Sarah appears to be living with her married daughter, Margaret (ECHOLS)
GREGG. The only ECHOLS/etc. indexed in Ohio County are David (æ
30-40), Jeremiah (æ 30-40), Thomas (æ 30-40), Henry (æ
30-40, plus another male of the same age), and Jane (æ 30-40).

Sarah ECHOLES is almost certainly Margaret's mother, who is almost certainly
our subject's widow. The only other ECHOLS/etc. living in Ohio County
are a widow, Susan (æ 37, b. OH), and her seven children, plus an
unmarried Clementine ECHOLS (æ 22, b. VA) living with the NICHOLS
family. I don't find Jeremiah, David, Henry, or Thomas anywhere
in 1850.
