5.  1810 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  not found, at least not as head-of-household.  There is a young Peter CORBIN in Pawling, who is presumably our subject's son, and an older Peter CORBIN in Litchfield Co., CT, who is already accounted for (as the husband of Vilette NEARING).  These are the only two Peter CORBINs in the entire 1810 census.

THE CORBINS OF DUTCHESS CO., N.Y., WESTERN CONNECTICUT, AND VERMONT. DIGEST OF INFORMATION.    ROBERT and GEORGE CORBIN are said to have come to America in 1743, and PETER and WILLIAM soon after. (Their father supposed to be Peter.)    PETER CORBIN came in company with an Irish family named Seabright and married into that family.    A PETER CORBIN resided at Pawling, Dutchess Co., N.Y., in 1777, where he was taxed for £660.  ("Tax-rates of Dutchess Co., 1777," in N.Y. State Library.)    There is a tradition that the ancestors of this line of Corbins (i.e., of PETER, who was father of DAVID E.) were originally Russians and came from Russia to England about 1600.    PETER CORBIN of Dutchess Co., N.Y., Nine Partners, Mass., and Vermont, had brothers SAMUEL and THOMAS.  SAMUEL also lived at Nine Partners.  There is a tradition that THOMAS came home one day, found his buildings burned, his family massacred, and his stock driven away, by the Indians.  From that time he became a great Indian fighter.    Children:   i.  JOB.  ii.  PETER. iii.  DAVID E., b. about 1757.  iv.  WARREN, b. about 1765-6 in Dutchess Co., N.Y.   v.  ELIZABETH.  vi.  HANNAH ...

It appears that a mis-interpretation of Lawson is the source of the error equating the Peter CORBIN of Livingston Co., SC, who married Elizabeth SEAWRIGHT, with our subject.  These are two different Peter CORBINs.  It needs to be emphasized — and Lawson should have made clear — that there's nothing to connect the first two paragraphs of this section to the rest of the section about Peter of Dutchess County.
