Forty-six is an extraordinary age for a woman to still be bearing children
(most women have their last child by the age of 43, at the latest).

daughter, Susannah (CORBIN) ANDERSON, but see my comments for the next

Susannah should be surnamed ANDERSON, not CORBIN (unless she married a
CORBIN, now also deceased, after the death of her first husband).
Susanna's son, Moses
Edward ANDERSON, Jr., is married and enumerated in his own household,
so the Moses Anderson CORBIN listed here would not appear to be her son
(either that or Moses was enumerated twice, plus his surname and mother's
birthplace here are wrong). Delilah had two sons die in the 1860s,
both probably in the Civil War, so there would have been an abundance of
CORBIN orphans in this family, one of them apparently named for his uncle.
11. Will of John CORBIN (in a file online at WorldConnect
submitted by Dave Wright):
| In the Name of God, Amen, I John Corbin of said State and
County, being of advanced age, and knowing that I must shortly depart this
life, deem it right and proper, both as respects my family and myself,
that I should make a disposition of the property with which a Kind Providence
has blessed me, do therefore make this my last will and testament, hereby
revoking all others heretofore made by me.
1st Item, I desire and direct that my body be buried, in a decent
and Christian like manner, suitable to my circumstances and condition in
life. My Soul, I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it, as I
hope for eternal Salvation, through the merits and atonement of the blessed
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whose religion I have professed and I humbly
trust enjoyed for a series of years.
2nd Item, I desire that all my just debts be paid, without delay
by my executor appointed as I am unwilling my creditors should be delayed
in their rights especially as there is no necessity for delay.
3rd Item, I give and bequeath, and devise to my beloved wife Delilah
with whom I have lived for a series of years, all my real and personal
estate and effects including that given to my beloved wife Delilah during
her natural life, or widowhood.
4th Item, And after her death or intermarriage, I bequeath and devise
to my five sons Joseph, Benjamin, Reuben, Jasper,
and Newton, all my real estate to be equally proportioned to each
of my five sons named.
5th Item, After the decease of my beloved wife Delilah I bequeath
and devise to my five daughters namely Polly, Rachel, Abigil,
Susan, Delilah, all my personal estate, equally proportioned to
each of my daughters named.
9th Item, I hereby constitute and appoint my beloved wife Delilah

and testament, this January the 26th, 1853
