George Washington CORBIN
Ellen Nora SHERRY
Husband:  George Washington CORBIN
Birth:  1837/8 or 1841/2 or 4 May 1841, OH  {1850: 12, OH; 1860: 28, OH; 1870: 38, OH; 1910: 67, OH}
Death:  9 Sep 1916, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH
Military Service:  Civil War:  Pvt., Co. E, 95th OVI; served time in Andersonville
Father:  William CORBIN
Mother:  Arminella "Eliza" BUCKINGHAM

George is said to have been born in Mount Sterling, Madison Co., but his parents were in the 1840 Census of Muskingum Co.  It is also said he died in Columbus, but he was living in Madison Co. in the 1910 census.

Marriage:  17 Oct 1867, Delaware Co., OH
Wife:  Ellen Nora SHERRY — George's step-sister
Birth:  25 Aug 1851, Mansfield, Richland Co., OH
Death:  21 Mar 1925, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH
Other Spouse:  m1. John MOORE
Father:  John SHERRY
Mother:  Lucinda Ellen JOHNSON

This record is hard to figure.  Ellen was apparently only 15 years old and full-term pregnant when she married George.  Did she really marry a John MOORE when only 14 years old?  Or did John knock her up?  Did he then die?  Or did John leave Ellen because she had relations with George?  Or was George simply "rescuing" his step-sister from being an unwed mother?  As Carrie was born after Ellen's marriage to George, she would have been legally George's daughter, but presumably John MOORE was her biological father.  Update:  secondary sources insist she did marry John and that he deserted her.

Adopted Child — biological father presumably John MOORE, but legal father George CORBIN:
  1.  Sarah Evelyn "Sarrie / Carrie / Eva" CORBIN, b. 2 Nov 1867, OH {1880: 12, OH}; d. 10 Feb 1953, St. Anthony's Hospital, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH; m. Joseph Ervin BROBECK
Children (data in braces are {year: age, birthplace} from the census):
It's odd that there's a 6-year gap between their marriage and their first child.  Such a gap is not impossible, but it is unusual, especially as nearly all the remaining children were the "standard" two years apart.

Bases on the censuses, the family was in Franklin Co., not Madison Co., between 1870 and 1880.

Columns 10 and 11 should only have been filled out for the wife, but here it seems Ellen's first child is being claimed by George.  Well, at least this record appears to confirm that Ellen was married twice, assuming she was telling the truth to the census-taker (not actually a safe assumption with matters this delicate).  In any case, she is maintaining that she was married before.
