Clement CORBIN
Dorcas BUCKMASTER
NOTICE:  A (purported) descendant of our subject is participating in the CORBIN Y-chromosome DNA Surname Project.  His test results reveal a close genetic match to Philip CORBIN of Danbury, CT.  While there can be no doubt the two have a recent common ancestor, the paper genealogy of both needs further documentation to establish just how they are related.
WARNING:  The early genealogy of Clement CORBIN's purported descendants as given here is based on secondary sources, most of whom have based their work on Harvey Lawson's (1905) book, Descendants of Clement Corbin of Muddy River (Brookline, Ma. and Woodstock, Ct).  Lawson has been shown to have made at least one egregious error, one that greatly undermines the author's credibility.  Therefore, we must consider much of the currently accepted genealogy of these CORBINs as suspect.  Please do not assume anything as proven unless you see primary documentation for it among the Sources.  And if you have primary documentation, please share it.  We need reliable paper genealogy to correlate with the DNA evidence.
