Carrico." Great Falls Tribune, Great Falls, MT (online at

| James Carrico, 81, of 2220 3rd Ave. S., a retired railroad
engineer and Navy veteran, died Tuesday at a local hospital.
At his request, no services are planned. Cremation has taken place
under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife, Marcia Carrico of Great Falls;
a daughter, Cynthia Gold, and a granddaughter, Lizzie Gold, both of Great
Falls; a brother, Champ Carrico of Glendale, Calif.; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Sandra Eldridge,
Betty
Taylor, Carolyn Mondik and Marilyn Tornberg; and three
brothers, Woodrow, Bill and Charles.
Jim was born May 1, 1923, in Great Falls, to Charles and Myrtle
Carrico. He attended schools in Great Falls and joined the Navy
in February, 1943. He was discharged in January, 1946.
He married Marcia Safransky on Dec. 22, 1966.
Jim worked in construction before going to work for the railroad.
He was transferred to Whitefish in July of 1972, and retired in 1984.
Jim and Marcia remained in Whitefish until returning to Great Falls in
September of 2003.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 214, and VFW Post 276 of Whitefish.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in memory of James Carrico,
to the Great Falls High Cheerleading Program, 1900 2nd Ave. S., Great Falls,
MT 59405. |
