1.  Jordan R. Dodd, ed.  1993.  Kentucky Marriages:  Early to 1850.  Liahona Research, Orem, UT (Broderbund CD-229):

2.  Census Index:  U.S. Selected Counties, 1820 (Broderbund CD-314):
1820 Benges, Henry KY Todd Co. p. 126
Could "Benges" conceivably be a misreading of Burrus (mistaking an ascender from the line below as a descender from this line)?  It's the only possibility on the CD.

3.  Census Index:  U.S. Selected Counties, 1830 (Broderbund CD-315):  not found, unless he is the "Henry Tandy" in Todd Co., KY.

4.  1840 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com; Image #13-14 of 71 — mis-indexed as "Benner" and as being in "Todd City" because the "Cty" in "Todd Cty" was misread as "City" [there's no such place as Todd City]; extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
1840 KY Todd Co./Cty. p. 7 | pp. 244B-245A Ln. 22 Burrus Nancy 001 100 000 - 001 110 100 no slaves 0100000
These data indicate:
No. & Sex Age Class Therefore Born Individuals Inferred
1 male 10-14 1825-1830 = Henry or Charles
1 male 15-19 1820-1825 = Charles or Henry
1 female 10-14 1825-1830 = Mary (b. 1829/30)
= Nancy (b. 1828/9)
1 female 15-19 1820-1825 = Verlinda (b. 1820/1)
1 female 20-29 1810-1820 = Sarah (b. 1818/9)
1 female 40-49 1790-1800 = Nancy (b. 1797/8)
1 person employed in agriculture
It's hard to blame the indexer; Nancy's surname is a capital "B" followed by seven bumps.  On the other hand, reading "Todd Cty" as "Todd City" is a serious error.

5.  1850 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com; Image #90 of 100):  District No. 1, Todd Co., KY, p. 239B, 642/647, enumerated 7 Sep 1850 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
Nancy Burrus 52 f   1000 Ky
Wm Roger " 33 m Farmer   "
Sarah    " 31 f     "
Nancy    " 21 f     "
Why is William back?  Or, rather, where was he in 1840?  Living next door to her brother-in-law, Nathaniel BURRUS

6.  Indenture between Nathaniel BURRUS and Nancy BURRUS dated 7 Jun 1837.  Todd County, Kentucky, Deed Books K-M, 1836-40.  LDS Microfilm No. 355909 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen, 21 Mar 2001).  Most importantly, the indenture gives a list of Henry & Nancy's children.
