Thomas S. BRADFORD
Rosa M. STROUP
Husband:  Thomas S. BRADFORD
Birth:  Jun 1889, Jefferson Co., MO
Occupations:  farmer; foreman and clerk for the railroad
Father:  Joseph BRADFORD, b. Jun 1850, England
Mother:  Jane E. MERCER, b. May 1851, NY — d/o James D. MERCER (b. 1816/7, NY) & Mary __?__ (b. 1816/7, NY) and s/o the Charles B. MERCER (b. 1857, NY) who later married Rosie's widowed (adoptive) mother.

A file at OneWorldTree shows this Joseph BRADFORD as son of John Burnett BRADFORD, a descendant of Gov. William BRADFORD, Plymouth Colony, MA, which does not jibe with the fact that Joseph was born in England and that all of John's children were born in the U.S.  The OneWorldTree file contains only dates, not places, possibly to obscure this fact.  I tried to "fix" the file at OneWorldTree, but working with that interface is a nightmare, so I may not have succeeded.  Other sources do not show John Burnett with a son Joseph.

Thomas S. BRADFORD (over age 21) and Rosa M. STROUP (under age 18; guardian consenting) both of De Soto, Jefferson Co., MO, obtained a marriage license at Potosi, MO, on 7 Feb 1910.  They were married 20 Feb 1910 in DeSoto, Jefferson Co., MO, by D.W. CROW, minister of the M.E. Church.
Thomas was not over 21, so he apparently lied about his age.
