| Dr. David S. Bantley.
Ranking among the prominent young physicians and surgeons of Johnstown,
is Dr. David S. Bantley, with offices at 631 Coleman Street. He
was born at Scalp Level, Pa., and is a son of Theodore and Emma (Straub)
Bantley.
Theodore Bantley, deceased, was a native of Cambria County,
as was his wife. For many years he engaged in the general mercantile
business at Scalp Level.
David S. Bantley received his early education in the schools
of Scalp Level and after his graduation from Windber High School, he entered
Gettysburg College, from which he received his degree in 1918. He
received his degree as Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania
in 1922 and spent the following year as an intern in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Since 1923 Doctor Bantley has engaged in general practice in Johnstown.
On Aug. 18, 1920, Doctor Bantley was united in marriage with Miss
Anna
Sann, the daughter of Fred and Maria Sann, residents of Johnstown.
To Doctor and Mrs. Bantley have been born three daughters:
Emma Jane,
Frances
Marie, and Charlotte Elaine.
Doctor Bantley is identified with the Cambria County Medical Society,
Pennsylvania Medical Society, American Medical Association, and the Barton-Cooke
Obstetrical Society. He is a member of the Lutheran Church, Masonic
Lodge, Phi Gamma Delta, and Alpha Kappa Kappa fraternities. |
