1. The Jacob "Straper" indexed in Pickaway County is "Straper." The Phillip "Straper" indexed in Warren County is Phillip "Straple." There is a Henry "Straper" indexed in Cuyahoga County whose surname I can't quite read, but it definitely has two syllables and ends in "r."
2. The indices for Trumbull County in 1840 are very incomplete. There are no records indexed for Bloomfield, Braceville, Bristol, Champion, Green, Gustavus, Johnston, Kinsman, Mesopotamia, Vernon, and Warren; and there are only a few records indexed for Austintown, Southington, Farmington, Mecca, Newton, and Weathersfield.
