This is strange.  Nancy DODSON (sic) is Hope's wife, Nancy (DODSON) STRUBE, and John DODSON is Sallie (STRUBE) DODSON's husband (and Hope's sister).  Bettie is the unmarried sister of Nancy and John.  Apparently the enumerator gave greater precedence to them being children of Elisha & Julia (THOMPSON) DODSON than their being married to their spouses.  Also, Hope is 26, not 24, and was born in MS, not KY; and Sallie is 20, not 30.
