Michael and John may be uncle/nephew, not brothers, but they were both born in Switzerland and are listed next to each other in the 1860 census of Kenosha Co., WI, so surely they are related.  Or, if John's age is off (i.e., enumerator error), they could be father and son.  Michael appears three times in the census, so his 1805-7 birthyear range is probably correct, but John appears only once, so if there's an error, I've found no other records to support/reject his birthdate.
