James Stroup 12 M         "
Given the age gap between Nathan and Nancy and the position of James STROUP on this list, I would normally assume that James was Nathan's son from a previous marriage; however, Nathan and Nancy are in the 1850 census with no children.  It may be that baby James was taken in by a member of his mother's family and did not return to live with his father until he was older.  Unfortunately, I can't seem to find James in the 1850 census.  Listed two households from Catharine (BAUMAN) STROUP, widow of Moses STROUP.
