If this Michael is our subject's son, then either our subject had an even earlier wife or his first wife bore him children over the span of some 20s years (the 1810s-1830s).  If the latter, where are they?

3.  Census Index:  U.S. Selected Counties, 1830 (Broderbund CD-315):  there are no STRAUBs/STROUPs/etc. in Maryland, at all.  It is still possible for daughter, Mary, to have been born in MD in 1832 if:  1) Michael immigrated to MD after 1830 and/or 2) Michael married after 1830.

4.  1840 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  can't find.  He should be in OH or IN.   The only Michael STROUP in Ohio is the one in Highland County who is married to Margaret WALKER — and they are still there in the 1850 census, so there is no doubt who that Michael is.

5.  1850 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com; Image #17 of 26):  Washington Twp., Miami Co., IN, p. 168A, 1234/1261, enumerated 1-3 Oct 1850, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1850 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):

Eliza Stroup 51 F       O
Mary 17 F       Md
Moses 10 M       O
Lavina?  8 F       I
Noah  7 M       "
Mary is Michael's daughter by his first wife.  Moses, Lavina, and Noah are Michael's children with Eliza.  Isaac is 25, not 35; Aaron is said to be his brother, but if so, he should have been born in Ohio.  Eliza STROUP is Isaac's twice-married, twice-widowed mother.  By the end of the year, Isaac WISSINGER marries his step-sister, Mary STROUP.
