Either Lyda was fibbing about her age when a young adult (i.e. in the 1920 and 1930 censuses) or she experienced age inflation at the end of life — the latter is more likely.

Sep 1895, WV) living in the Blackfork District, Tucker Co., WV, with her parents, Marty NESTOR (æ 35, b. WV) and his wife, Mariah (æ 22, b. WV).  This Liddie is the only person indexed in the entire U.S. census who comes even close to resembling our subject's wife.

3a.  1910 Census Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Claudie STROUP (æ 15, b. OH) in Wayne Co., OH, with his parents (q.v.).  Can't find Lyda, but the 1910 census index is not "every name."  I did check every NESTOR/NESTER household in Tucker Co., WV.
