6.  Anon. Tuesday, 25 Nov 2003.  "Obituary: Herman A. Stroup." Port Clinton News Herald (Port Clinton, Ottawa Co., OH):
Herman A. Stroup, 81, of Greenfield, died 4:45 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2003, at his residence.  He was born October 6, 1922, in Mt. Sterling, to Byron and Hattie Harriett (Johnson) Stroup. 

Herman was a retired die maker, with Elliott Company, Dayton. 

On March 16, 1973, he married Evalee Alexander, who survives. 

Also surviving are three daughters, Teresa (Dale) Knisley, Greenfield, Ruthanna (Dennis) Resiter, Howell, Michigan, and Connie Jo Miller, Frankfort; two sons, Lonnie (Betty) Stroup, Frankfort, and Michael Stroup, Dayton; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three sister, Norma Bryant, Greenfield, and Betty Johnson Rumbaugh and Ruth Rinehart, both of Chillicothe. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two children, Scott and Robin Stroup and four brothers and four sisters. 

Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2003, at Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling.  Mike Free will officiate.  Calling hours will not be observed. 

Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home, of Greenfield, is serving the family.
