What a mess!  And of all records for the enumerator to leave the Relationship field blankMary (STRAUB) ALBRIGHT, David STRAUB, and Samuel STRAUB are Martin's siblings.  Martin should be 38/39; David should be 36/37; Samuel should be 40.  Martin's father's birthplace should be Switzerland, not Kentucky.  If Susan is Martin's sister, which the birthplaces suggest, then she should be Sarah, not Susan, and should be 34/35.  If Susan is Mary's daughter (see Mary's 1870 census record), she should be surnamed ALBRIGHT, not STRAUB; and she should be 27, not 25.  In 1900, a Shields STRAUB gets married in Bond County, so was Shields later adopted?  Or is his surname wrong here?  Could he be Martin's son?
