Junction City—Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock Monday, March 13, for Joseph Straub, age 85, who passed away Friday, March 10, at his farm in the town of Green Valley, where he resided for 32 years.  Rev. Peter Kurzeska conducted the services from the St. Wencelaus church.

Joseph Straub was born May 11, 1848 the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Straub in France.  He came to this country in 1871 and settled in the town of Eau Claire, where he resided for 10 years before moving to Central Wisconsin where he was a resident for 42 years.  He was married to Clara Schuelke on November 14, 1878.  Surviving him are is wife, Clara Straub, and six children, Mrs. Mary Galligan, Mrs. Anna Endrusch, Mrs. Rose Stoll, all of Milwaukee, Mrs. Margaret Weagen of Appleton, Mrs. Agnes Knebel, town of Green Valley, and Peter at home.

Joeph Straub was chairman of the town of Eau Pleine (sic) from 1898 to 1899.

Mrs. Clara Straub

Mrs. Clara Straub, a resident of Dancy for many years, died suddenly at the home of her son, Peter Straub, at Dancy Friday night.

Mrs. Straub, whose maiden name was Clara Shilke, was born in Germany on Febrary 17, 1855.  She came to this county in 1869.  Her marriage to Joseph Straub took place on November 14, 1878, at Stevens Point.  Mr. Straub died on March 10, 1933.  Mrs. Straub lived for a short time at Junction City and had resided at Dancy for the past 33 years.
