Sources:

1a.  Jordan R. Dodd, ed.  1993.  Illinois/Indiana Marriages:  Early to 1850.  Liahona Research, Orem, UT (Broderbund CD-228):  not found, but there are no Cook County records on the CD.

1b.  Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763–1900:
STRAUB, John A CHRISMAN, Josephine M 01/03/1869 001/ FINK Cook Co.
It seems more likely the month here was transposed on data entry, that is "01," instead of "10," than that the census is wrong. But it could be the other way.

2.  1850 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Can't find John, and I really looked.  Maria J. CHRISTMAN (æ 10/12, b. WI) is living in Kenosha, Kenosha Co., WI (p. 257A), with her parents, John P. CHRISTMAN (æ 35, b. France) and Maria V. (æ 26, b. France).

3a.  1860 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com, Image #30 of 43):  Sheboygan P.O., City of Sheboygan (Ward 2), Sheboygan Co., WI, Roll M653_1432, p. 238, PN 50, 430/388, enumerated 11 Jun 1860, official enumeration date 1 Jun 1860 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):¤•

The fact that John is placed first, before the RAUTH children, strongly suggests that John is Margaret's son from a prior marriage, which is also supported by the fact that, in later censuses, John indicates his parents were born in France.

3b.  1860 Census Every-Name-Index/Images (online at Ancestry.com):  Josephine CHRISMAN (æ 12, b. WI) is living with her parents, John P. CHRISMAN (æ 44, b. France) and his wife, Victoria S. (æ 37, b. France) in Kinosha (Ward 3), Kenosha Co., WI (p. 320).

Josephine is 21, not 31, and they should have been married in January, not October, unless its the online Illinois marriage database that's wrong.

There are over 18,000 pages on this web site, and I simply don't remember every page, much less every person on every page.
