John STRAUB
Mary Elizabeth STUCKERT

Is John mistaken about his birthplace?  His parents are in the 1850 census of New York City, not Brooklyn.

Marriage:  21 Dec 1868, Baltimore, MD
Wife:  Mary Elizabeth STUCKERT
Birth:  1851/2, MD

 — born in Baltimore, MD:
1.  Wilhemena / Wilhelmina STRAUB, b. Feb 1870; d. bef. 1880

There is a huge gap here.  Did they really have no other children?

The enumerator has clearly switched the birthplaces of Charles's parents, and if "Byre" means "Bayern," the German name for Bavaria, then he has also switched the birthplaces of John's parents.  So, has he also switched the birthplaces of Mary's parents?

Plus three boarders not extracted.  Despite the inconsistenties, I suspect this is our Mary and Alexander.  If not, I cannot find them anywhere else (nor can I find Charles).  These were large apartment buildings, and I can picture an enumerator getting burned out or getting information from a neighbor or one of the boarders.
