It's an understatement to say it would be a stretch to accept this house as our subjects, especially as William is missing, but there are horror stories of how badly enumerators can botch records.  If this is not our subject's household, then I don't know where they are because I did a page-by-page search of Shawnee Township, and this is the only family that comes close.  Also, I find no such similar family in 1870 or 1880.
