George STRAUB
Mary WAGNER
WARNING:  this family group sheet is tentative.  I have no proof that the George STRAUB who married Mary WAGNER is the son of Christian & Anna Maria STRAUB, nor do I have any proof that Mary died before 1850 or that Rose and Ellen are their daughters.  The evidence is entirely circumstantial.

Father: Christian STRAUB
Mother:  Anna Maria / Mary __?__

Wife:  Mary WAGNER
Birth:  bef. 1825
Death:  bef. 1850
Children — born in PA, presumably born in Cumru Twp., Berks Co.:

Spouse: Mary WAGNER

2.  Census Index:  U.S. Selected Counties, 1840 (Broderbund CD-316):  can't find (couldn't find George's parents, either).

3.  Census Microfilm Records: Pennsylvania, 1850 (Broderbund CD-305, Disk 2):  Cumru Twp., Berks Co., PA, p. 339A, enumerated 12 Sep 1850 (extracted by Diana Gale Matthiesen):
Christian Straub 55 m Miller Penna
Anna Straub 50 f     "
George Straub 30 m none   "
Peter Straub 21 m none   "
Abraham Straub 17 m none   "
Rose Straub  5 f     "
Ellen Straub  4 f     "
It appears Mary has died because George is back living with his parents, Christian & Anna.  Anna is too old to have birthed Rose and Ellen, and Anna's only child old enough to have been their parent is George.

Where's George?  Has he passed away, too?
