Warning: this family group sheet is inadequately documented and tentative. What primary records I have found are in conflict with secondary sources. For the children born before the 1850 census, assignment of the children to Nancy or Minerva is a guess. I had difficulty rationalizing the children found in the 1870 census with the earlier censuses, but Georgia had just suffered through the Civil War, so it may be that some of the children in the household in 1870 are adopted orphans.

The father of Narcissa can't be born ca. 1842 because his daughter, Narcissa, was born ca. 1842, nor would a man that young have a daughter born in 1857. And why would a daughter of Noah be surnamed WARD? I cannot find Margaret (or Polly) in the 1860 census, surnamed either WARD or RAPER. I'm inclinded to disregard Howard's entry entirely.
