According to my family history, Capt. Jacob Loper I., married Cornelia Melyn [1646], and had: Jacob II, Jannekin and perhaps others. In 1653, his widow [Cornelia], married Jacob Schellinger.  The quoted reference for this in our annals is: "hist. NY, Also New Amsterdam Dutch Ref. Ch. Rec."
