Geographical Notes:  Christopher's father lived in the part of Monongalia Co. that became part of Preston Co. in 1818; presumably, so did Christopher.  These Virginia counties became part of West Virginia when that state was formed in 1863.  In Ohio, Fairfield Co. was formed in 1800 from Ross and Washington Cos.; Licking Co. was formed in 1808 from Fairfield Co.; Hocking Co. was formed in 1818 from Ross, Fairfield, and Athens Cos. — thus, the changing counties below indicate genuine moves by our subject.
