Thomas's age has to be an error, not because Laura wouldn't have married an older man, but because I cannot find a Thomas E. CARRICO this age in earlier censuses.  The person above him on the page is age 76; maybe this caused the enumerator to err when entering his field notes onto the Population Schedules.  Laura's age is also way off; she should be 36.
