John W. CARRICO
Martha Viers MADDUX
NOTICE:  a patrilineal descendant of our subject is participating in the CARRICO Y-DNA Surname Project.  He is a close DNA match with the patrilineal descendants of Peter CARRICO, 1674 immigrant to Maryland.
Husband:  John W. CARRICO
Birth:  1826/7, Prince William Co., VA
Death:  aft. 1880 census, prob. in Cedar Run Twp, Fauquier Co., VA
Occupation:  overseer, farmer
Y-DNA Haplogroup:  J2a4b = J-M67

John is undoubtedly related to the other CARRICOs in Prince William Co., VA, but we don't know how he connects.  Some have asserted he is the son of Josiah CARRICO, but Josiah's son, John W. CARRICO (b. 1825/6, VA), was still unmarried and living with his parents in the 1850 Census.  Some have suggested his parents were John & Nancy (__?__) CARRICO, which is certainly plausible.
