is, today, in Cabarrus and Rowan Cos. The creek flows south out of
Rowan Co. and crosses the county line into Cabarrus Co. just east of the
city of Kannapolis. The creek continues southward until it joins
the Rocky River, which then flows eastward to join the Pee Dee River.

Knight was thereof arraigned and upon his arraignment plead not guilty
thereto and for his trial put himself upon the County and the attorney
for the County likewise and therupon came a Jury to wit: James Coleman,
Richard J. Talbott, George Chrisman, Nevill Hopson, Archibald Shaw,
James York, William Burgher, B.T. Wood, John Hamback, Larkin N. Akers,
William S. Talbott and John Overshiner who being charged and sworn the

said James Knight is guilty of Vagrancy under an Act of Assembly approved
