I have no idea how to interpret the date information (many records on the CD had this kind of obscure notation).  Neither this date nor the one below can be correct with regard to the marriage, except that this one could be the birthyear of Joseph.  I would think this was not our couple, except that secondary sources do accept that it is.

I have no explanation for the enumerator's error, beyond the fact that he must have mis-read his own field notes when filling in the Population Schedule (usually done back at the County Court House).  E. ALEXANDER is their twice widowed daughter, Elizabeth.  Emma is Elizabeth's only child with her second husband.
