They are said to have been married in Pendleton Co., but I doubt it. Back then, young women usually lived with their parents until they married, and from 1767 until their deaths, Sarah's parents were living in Union [now Cherokee] Co., SC.

We are short two daughters. Have the two eldest girls married already? They were very young! Seems more likely their birthyears are wrong, and more likely still that this is census-taker error because in the 1800 census, there are three more girls born before 1790. John and Sarah are living five doors down from Sarah's parents.
